Training Description
The objective of Vehicle Maintenance is to provide the cadet with the opportunity to shadow military personnel in the maintenance and repair of military vehicles in the active and reserve fleets, which may include HumV's, Tank Recovery Vehicles, and Haulers. This is a great training for those cadets who like hands on training and not afraid of getting greasy dirty. Your days will be spent at Unit Training Equipment Site - UTES where they will work under the guidance of Michigan National Guardsman in the maintenance and repair of vehicles. We strive to provide the cadet with the confidence that will build and carry within his/her time within the Naval Sea Cadet Corps. |
In addition to the Fort Custer Training Sea Bag List, MVM cadets may bring:
Steel Toed Boots - This is optional. However, if you do not have steel toed boots you will wear toe caps. Toe caps are uncomfortable and hot. The toe caps or steel toed boots are a safety requirement. |
